Refund policy

Right of Withdrawal (Cooling-off Period) In accordance with the Italian Consumer Code (Legislative Decree 206/2005) and applicable EU directives, if you are purchasing from the European Union, you have the right to withdraw from your purchase without giving any reason and without penalty within 14 calendar days from receipt of the products. In the case of multiple items ordered together but delivered separately, this period begins on the day you acquire physical possession of the last product.

Return Procedure You can initiate a return request directly from your customer account at account.southvintage.com or by contacting us at resierecessi@southvintage.com. Once we receive your notice of withdrawal, we will promptly provide instructions on how to proceed. Please note: to ensure proper handling of your return, please do not send items back before submitting your formal notice of withdrawal.

Return Conditions and Diminution of Value In accordance with EU regulations, you are only liable for any diminished value of the goods resulting from handling other than what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics, and functioning of the items. Therefore, to be eligible for a full refund, the item must be returned in the same condition in which you received it: unwashed, unworn (other than briefly trying it on for size), complete with all original tags/labels, and in its original packaging. As these are vintage garments, South Vintage will inspect them to verify that no new signs of wear are present beyond those documented at the time of sale. In the event of damage, additional wear, or missing tags, we reserve the right to deduct an amount from the refund proportional to the diminished value of the garment.

Damages and Issues Please inspect your order upon receipt. Contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged during transit, or if you received the incorrect item, so that we can evaluate the issue and provide a prompt resolution in accordance with the legal guarantee.

Exceptions and Non-Returnable Items For hygiene and health protection reasons (Art. 59, letter e, of the Italian Consumer Code), we do not accept returns on swimwear if the original hygienic seal has been removed, tampered with, or opened after delivery. Custom-made/personalized items and Gift Cards are also non-returnable.

Return Shipping Costs The direct costs of returning the products are entirely the responsibility of the purchaser, as provided by law. Returned items must be shipped to:

We strongly recommend using a tracked shipping service and wrapping the parcel with suitable protective packaging. South Vintage reserves the right to deduct from the refund any damage to the product resulting from inadequate packaging during return transit.

Refunds We will process your refund (including standard initial shipping costs) within 14 days from the date we were informed of your decision to withdraw. As permitted by Art. 56 of the Italian Consumer Code, we reserve the right to withhold the refund until we have received the goods back or until you have supplied proof of having sent back the goods. However, if proof of shipment is provided prior to our physical receipt of the goods, the actual refund amount remains subject to inspection of the items upon arrival. In the event of damage or wear, the amount retained for the diminution of value will be deducted from the total refund.

Refunds will be issued using the same payment method used for the initial transaction. Please note that your bank or credit card company may require an additional 10-15 business days to process and post the refund to your account statement.

Legal Guarantee on Second-Hand Goods Pursuant to Art. 134 of the Italian Consumer Code, the statutory legal guarantee of conformity for second-hand goods is limited to 12 months from delivery. This guarantee covers non-conformity defects that do not arise from normal prior use and were not explicitly disclosed (via textual description or photographs) at the time of purchase.
